Our livingroom is very small and a challenge with furniture, so I thought these would be the perfect endtables since narrow and long and not big square like most. I absolutely picked the right ones, they are perfect, I love the closed in look, and love how you can store magazines in the flip out door. It was $50 more expensive at the Ashley Store, so got online instead. The wood is real rich and nice looking, look like they cost alot more, and shipping was super fast! LOVE THEM.
We are still astounded at the quality for the price. I'm not a furniture expert, but I don't find any evidence of particle board or veneer anywhere. It looks to me like every piece is solid real wood.
There is a slide-out tray at the top, with two cup recesses. The front door tilts out, with around a 10 inch magazine tray. So the back half of the interior is wasted space.
The color from the picture is pretty accurate. I would call it a warm milk-chocolate color; no red.
The shipping container was very solid (and heavy); very little chance of damage in delivery.
We bought two; both are identical.
Note: At this time, the Amazon description is incorrect. There is no faux leather top. The top is beautiful solid wood.
